How do I get a job through a CareerCenter?

When you visit your local CareerCenter, you can build your own individual job profile with your qualifications and the type of job you want. Once you are registered in our system, it searches for jobs that match your profile. You are then notified of openings and will be referred to a job if you request it. CareerCenters are also equipped with computers to so that you can do your own job search. If you need help with anything having to do with getting a job, staff will assist you.

Where can I find information on wage and hour requirements for Maine?

Information of the minimum wage, overtime, child labor laws and other employer requirements can be found at the website of the Wage and Hour Division of the Maine Department of Labor.

As an employer, how do I list a job with a CareerCenter?

You can post job openings through any CareerCenter website or you can call the CareerCenter.

When I post a job order, where does it go?

When a CareerCenter receives your job order, staff review and verify the information. Then the job order is sent to the CareerCenter nearest the job location to match applicant qualifications to job requirements. Every evening all jobs that pay over minimum wage are down loaded into America's Job Bank.
