Mental Health and Stress Management offered by HospitalityMaine (Training)

The coronoavirus pandemic has created a tremendous amount of stress, anxiety, fear and general unrest for all of us. Hospitality employees, in particular, have been affected due to the shut-down, re-opening requirements and ongoing implementation and enforcement of rules required by the Governor's Executive Orders and Re-Opening Checklists.

In addition to improving your quality of life, good mental health is essential for handling high-stress situations at work. Good mental health also contributes to productivity and efficiency in the workplace, increases team morale and assists with job retention.

The Foundations of Mental Health training course will outline the individual actions we can take to manage stress. The Foundations of De-Escalation training course will give you the tools you can use to diffuse difficult situations with co-workers, customers, and guests.

Successful completion will earn you a micro-credential certification. It can be added to your education resume and displayed at work. The course has 3 modules and was created in conjunction with the Opportunity Alliance and Eastern Maine Community College.

Learn more at https://www.hospitalitymaine.com/page/mentalhealthstressmanagement or email Gwen Perry at gwenp@hospitalitymaine.com.
